DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY

Documentary photography is something I’m relatively new to, but I’m very interested in exploring it further. I’m especially drawn to the idea of bringing a documentary approach into family photography—capturing genuine, unscripted moments, relationships, and emotions rather than relying solely on posed portraits. I love the idea of telling a family’s story through the small, authentic moments that often go unnoticed: the way children interact with their parents, the quiet in-between moments, the chaos, laughter, tenderness, and everyday rituals that make each family unique. I’d love to learn how to incorporate this more naturally into my work and create images that feel honest, intimate, and timeless.
